After having gone through piles of books and resources, I compiled this information to help women get started quickly in getting pregnant.  I know you’re impatient, and trust me so was I.  But I learned it’s a process, especially if you’ve been living a life where you haven’t really taken care of your body.  So here are some quick tips to to answer the quesiton how can I get pregnant.

1) Lose the few extra pounds. What you have to understand here is that you need to be a healthy women, with your systems flowing and your body moving.  Yes, you will need to do some exercise.   I don’t mean being able to run a triathlon or anything like that, but just get to walking everyday if you’re not.  And if you are, start to increase your duration or intensity a bit.  And stay off the sugar.  Excessive processed sugar is poison for your body.  Reduce it or eliminate it if you can.

2) Make sure your getting the right nutrition through supplements.  Folic acid is a B vitamin that can help reduce the risk of serious birth defects that affect the brain and spinal cord.   Rather than try to explain all the vitamins you need, go to your doctor for a check up then ask her what kinds of vitamins you might start taking to help increase your chances of getting pregnant.

3) Focus on enhancing the sex life. Here’s another point you have to trust me on.  Sometimes women focus too much on the process, and not enough on the lovemaking.  Remember, if your partner is stimulated better, the sperm count will be higher.  And the more you orgasm, the higher the chances of getting pregnant.

4) Increase the freqency of sex.  Sometimes, it’s hard to work out the whole ovulating/not ovulating calendar.  But if you just start having sex 2 to 3 times a week for a month, you’ll have all your bases covered, and have a lot of fun too.

5) De-stress your life.  In my opinion, stress is the number one reason many women can’t get pregnant.  Stress will cause toxins to be released into your body, mess up your period, and may not put you in the mood for lovemaking.  I personally use meditation and yoga, but choose the activity that suits you.

6) Check out this resource for amazing success stories on getting pregnant.

Remember, this is not the end all, just the start.  It could take months before you can answer the question of how can I get pregnant.  But keep persisting, and trying different things from this basic list and you will succeed and get that precious baby to hold.

my marriage is on nov 10th i have seen many of my friends having problem in conceiving after marriage, but i dont want any delays like that,is there any tips to get pregnant soon after marriage

1. When you go to the gynecologist for your annual exam (or just make an appointment) be sure to tell them that you would like to get pregnant and ask if there is anything in your medical history that may need to be under control prior to trying to conceive. Ask for any advice they can give you. Some of the more common causes of infertility are insulin resistance, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and sperm motility issues. I was unaware that I had insulin resistance, which unfortunately for me, had no symptoms except for infertility.

2. Buy a basal body thermometer and start charting your cycles to determine when you ovulate, because having intercourse on the days prior to ovulation increase your chances of becoming pregnant. You may also want to get an ovulation predictor kit. Charting also helps to keep a record of when you ovulate every cycle and this information can be useful to your doctor if you should have any problems conceiving. It will also help you to know when to take a pregnancy test. www.fertilityfriend.com is an excellent free website to help you get started charting.

3. Know that it is normal to take 6 months to a year to conceive. Try not to stress out about getting or not getting pregnant as stress can delay your period and make the process longer. Good Luck!

If she is already taking inhaled steroid inhalers, regular inhalers, etc., is there anything else a pregnant woman can take to help allergic asthma and allergic reactions in serious cases? Can she take a small dose of an antihistamine such as Benadryl to help her get relief from symptoms?

Yes, both my midwife and OB said it was okay.
Well along with the paramedics when I had an allergic reaction.
>.<
I have horrible asthma and used my inhaler only when necessary, probably 10-15 times total my entire pregnancy, same with benedryl.
I found vicks and a humidifier REALLY helped, especcially in the third trimester, and that way she doesn’t have to take medicine.

You can talk to your midwife/OB, but they will probably tell you to weigh the risks/benefits.
I know for me, the baby needs oxygen, and when I start to go into anaphlaxes I need to take benedryl.

My husband and I are trying to conceive. He can’t ejaculate inside of me (I typically use my hand or oral). He has no trouble "getting it up," or ejaculating other ways, but in the 7 years we’ve been together he’s never ejaculated inside me. What can we do?

OK, this was actually a first for me… But the obvious options (if he can’t get past this block – which I think is what you should really work on) are DIY insemination – i.e. you inseminate yourself (or with the help of your husband) after you have collected his little swimmers. I have heard that a lot of lesbian couples go down this route using donor sperm and that it is quite successful. Second option would be IVF but this is a lot more invasive and could be really expensive.

I gave birth to my son in Aug of 2009. I’ve had some slight bleeding around the end of October ( the 20th to be exact). But since then, nothing significant. I recieved the shot in August ( on my discharge day), and the doc explained I would be covered for 3 months. I had some spotting in the beginning of November, and that was it. Still no period…and feeling some similar pregnancy symptoms from before. Please let me know your feedback. Thanks.

You can get pregnant as soon as you give birth…thats one of the reasons drs tell you to wait 6-8 weeks before having sex actually you are most fertile after giving birth. If you got a shot in August you should have gotten another one in November to avoid pregnancy.

i know that condoms are effective and all, but how do you get pregnant still? its not like any sperm can just swim through latex. it just doesnt make sense, does it go through the bottom? does it have to break? how?

First off, condoms aren’t effective for preventing pregnancy. I hate that all you young kids think they are. It’s only about 70% effective when used as a contraceptive. That’s why you need another safeguard with it. Anyway, in order to get pregnant there has to be a break or a leak. Some condoms may have a small hole and leak at the tip (not so likely as the small hole will usually cause a break). But no, the sperm can’t swim through the latex, polyurethane or whatever kind of condom you have.

So, yes, my Roborovski Dwarf hamster may be pregnant. I am not sure what to do. If she does have babies, I want them to be healthy. Any tips?

well if you have previously checked it’s weight it surely would’ve roise by about 1 ounce. and if you are sure she hasn’t met up with any males shes not going to be pregnant.but to be sure it is important that you see a vet. if you wait a month when the babies are born you can keep them and for the first few days feed them just plain yogurt(untill they have teeth) or if you do not want them you can sell them to a store or call animal controll. i hope i helped pal! :D
oh yeah if you go to the vet and they say she is pregnant you should feed her alot of grapes, strawberries, bananas and any other soft fruit/veggie

When a pregnant woman snorts cocaine what health hazards does that have on the baby?
I am just wondering because I have been reading a lot about drugs and alcohol in a health book.

Thx.

That health book didn’t describe the harmful effects of drugs on your baby? I don’t really know the list of everything that can go wrong, but I think its a safe guess to say that it is a very STUPID idea to do any sort of drug while you are pregnant. Well, hell, any time for that matter, but at least when you aren’t pregnant your only hurting yourself. But one sure fire consequence is your baby dying or living a life of health complications and pain, and it being ALL your fault because you made stupid choices.

*Not meaning "you" specifically. As long as it really ISN’T YOU doing it!!

My boyfriend and I had sex on the 23rd and the condom broke(trojan shared pleasure are horrible btw) and I don’t get my period until the 1st of feb. Is there a high chance i could be pregnant?

it all depends on when you ovulate… Normally a women will ovulate 10-14 days after the first day of her period. But its not always the case.. So lets say your period came Jan 1, you could of possibly ovulated on jan 10-14th..

With my first boyfriend (for four years) we never used protection and I never got pregnant. He always pulled out.

My current boyfriend (for the past year) is the same. He only pulls out. We dont use protection.

Why dont I ever get pregnant?

Well all depends like you stated if he pulls out there a chance that the sperm does release inside but not as much when they pull out! But your are in risk of getting a disease form someone because if you don’t know who they are sleeping with then there’s a high risk of you catching something! For your sake use protection! Good luck!
