my marriage is on nov 10th i have seen many of my friends having problem in conceiving after marriage,but i dont want any delays like that,is there any tips to get pregnant soon after marriage
1. When you go to the gynecologist for your annual exam (or just make an appointment) be sure to tell them that you would like to get pregnant and ask if there is anything in your medical history that may need to be under control prior to trying to conceive. Ask for any advice they can give you. Some of the more common causes of infertility are insulin resistance, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and sperm motility issues. I was unaware that I had insulin resistance, which unfortunately for me, had no symptoms except for infertility.
2. Buy a basal body thermometer and start charting your cycles to determine when you ovulate, because having intercourse on the days prior to ovulation increase your chances of becoming pregnant. You may also want to get an ovulation predictor kit. Charting also helps to keep a record of when you ovulate every cycle and this information can be useful to your doctor if you should have any problems conceiving. It will also help you to know when to take a pregnancy test. www.fertilityfriend.com is an excellent free website to help you get started charting.
3. Know that it is normal to take 6 months to a year to conceive. Try not to stress out about getting or not getting pregnant as stress can delay your period and make the process longer. Good Luck!

2010 Feb 09 3Yes, baby dance everyday.. if your partner have low sperm count then do it on alternate days instead. You may want to try the below (based on 28 cycle days):
cd1-cd9: period/infertile
cd10-cd18: ovulation/fertile
cd19-cd28: implantation/period
Remember to drink lots of water and pee before sex. Do not use any lubrication and have foreplay. It is believe that if the women climax prior to ejaculation, it will ’suck up’ the sperms and reach the egg faster. (Sorry for the tmi)
Don’t get up immediately, lie down with your hip lifted for @ least 15-30mins. You may want to place a pillow underneath for more comfort. The best way is to go to sleep directly.
Good you good luck and lots of baby dusts ****

2010 Feb 09 4If you are planning on TTC then make sure you start taking your Folic Acid straight away, doctors advise you to do this 3 months before ttc and the first 3 months of pregancy. I came off the pill last Nov and have been TTC for nearly a year now, they say it takes some women longer than others it just depends on the individual! tips are;
*Have Baby dance every other day for the whole month every other day because the sperm is sronger (remember sperm stays alive inside you for up to 7 days so if you are not sure when you ovulate then by doing this increases your chances;
*Take some Multi Vitamins + Folic Acid
*Eat Healthily
*Don’t drink alcohol or smoke
*Drink lot’s of water
Hope this helps and Good Luck

2010 Feb 09 5Well Sandhya, the thing so that at first i would advice you both to consult a good gynoecologist who’ll help you both i mean you & your going to be husband for sure. Apart from this there are some tests which one needs to get done to know why it is not conceiving, like a gynoecologists asks the man to get his sperm tested which is called a Sperm Anaylasis Test, this test will give a full report about whether the boy who you are marrying will be a father in life or not. In the sperm the microbiologists sees the small fish of the babies through the microscope & if it is missing then he cannot be a father, but he can give you, i mean you both can have the enjoyment of sex together, only there will be no child. So best of luck, consult a good gynoecologist he/she will help you for sure.

2010 Feb 09 10Hi Sandhiya
If you have a regular cycle it shud not be difficult for u to get pregnant.But it depends how old u r.If u r very young then i wud suggest u wait atleast first 6 months or more for a baby.Specially in India it takes a while for u to get adjusted to ur in laws and life will be so much difficult after a marriage.I had a tough time.But i hope u have a good time and have a good realtionship with ur i laws.But even then it takes atleast a year to get a good understanding of ur husband if it is an arranged marriage.If u have already thought about all this and still wanna have a kid
1.Make love every couple of days.
2.eat healthy and ask your partner to eat healthy.
3.Take a multi vitamin (both of you)
4.If u have a 28 day cycle make love on 11th to 20th day of ur cycle, first day of ur cycle being the first day of ur period.
5.Dont be too stressed.Let it happen.Dont keep thinking about it.Stress plays a main role.
Goodluck
