My husband and I are trying to conceive. He can’t ejaculate inside of me (I typically use my hand or oral). He has no trouble "getting it up," or ejaculating other ways, but in the 7 years we’ve been together he’s never ejaculated inside me. What can we do?
OK, this was actually a first for me… But the obvious options (if he can’t get past this block – which I think is what you should really work on) are DIY insemination – i.e. you inseminate yourself (or with the help of your husband) after you have collected his little swimmers. I have heard that a lot of lesbian couples go down this route using donor sperm and that it is quite successful. Second option would be IVF but this is a lot more invasive and could be really expensive.

2010 Feb 09 3Let him gather sperm into a container when you are ovulating and try artifical insemination on yourself. Then see a marriage counselor.

2010 Feb 09 5You may have to go the medical route.
But before that you should try different things, different positions, different locations, put some music on, anything.

2010 Feb 09 6(I’m not the only one) *whew*
I have a problem in the same way with my fiance’. Before me, I guess he was used to taking care of business on his own-and while sex is incredibly good for both of us (because, and I’m sure you can relate-he can go and go and go like the energizer bunny!)…in our two year relationship he has only ejaculated maybe 3-4 times in me. We’ve never used any contraceptive, but I’ve never gotten pregnant. But, one way that we have sort of solved this problem is this: he gets himself to the point of ejaculation (through masturbation) and right as he’s about to ejaculate, he finishes inside of me. Sorry to be quite so graphic-but, this could be a way to solve your problems. Its so nice to hear that I’m not the only one worried about this.

2010 Feb 09 7Why can he not? Has he seen a doctor about this? I would take that as a first route- sorry you seem to think this is an ok thing, but it’s not. there is something wrong (be it physical or psychological) and needs to be corrected.
